In this section, you will learn how to run automations.
Run & Stop
To run automation:
- In the top right corner, click the Run Automation button OR
- In the automation view, on the left side, enable the automation
Running partial workflows and individual nodes
To run a partial workflow:
- Click on the node
- Click on the input trigger
- In the top right corner, click Run from here OR
- Enable Breakpoint on Socket field - the automation will stop at this trigger
To run an individual node:
- Click on the node
- Click on the input trigger
- In the top right corner, click Trigger
Monitoring automation activity
In the Automation Activity section, you can monitor nodes being triggered. When you click on one of the activities, you will see the details, f.e. which step of processing is happening now. If you click on the name of the activity, you will be shown a canvas with this particular node.
Aborting automations
To stop automation:
- Click Abort Automation in the top right corner or the automation activity field
- In the automation view, on the left side, disable the automation
Errors & Exceptions
One of the most common errors can be caused by incorrect data input, f.e. a node was expecting a list but got an object, an object with a wrong schema, etc. You will get a yellow sign in the Automation Activity, which is called an exception if this happens. When you see an exception, please take a look at the node that causes it and fix an error.
Scheduling and delaying automations runs
One of the most critical processes within Kitchnware is scheduling and delaying automations. It always happens inside of automations.
To delay automation:
- Add Delay node
- In the duration field, enter the delay duration in seconds
- Connect the output trigger of the last node in the automation to
start
- Connect

To schedule automation:
- Add Delay To node
- Choose weekdays when you want your automation to start in the
weekdays
field - Choose the time when you want your automation to start in the
time
field (time of your browser) - Connect
